I got a #COVID shot today, instantly, at CVS in California, I'm under 65, but their website didn't really ask. Went in, I have gray hair, they asked my birthdate to verify I was the right patient in their records but nobody did the math on my age.
Now I'm wondering what's the likelihood I'll get a bill for hundreds of dollars from my insurance company a month from now.
It's a great racket.
Each plaintiff gets a check for $20, and the lawyers walk off with $40 million. The corporation-- which is more or less a monopoly- pays maybe $200 million but then raises its rates and cuts its payouts and makes it all back including a nice profit. #capitalism
Yet another corporation who will get away with ripping people off, and another group of class action lawyers who will get rich off of pretending to help. Because who the fuck remembers? I've had probably 10 different group plan numbers and 5 different health insurance companies between 2011 and 2021, and a bunch of different employers, including myself.
