Cosa succederebbe se domani tutti i servizi di Cloud di Google/Microsoft/Apple smettessero di funzionare (Trump ha il potere di imporre a tutte etre queste compagnie di bloccare l'accesso ai propri servizi in tutta Europa)?

Per me personalmente sarebbe una noia minore. Ho un po' di cose nel cloud, ma nulla di veramente essenziale. Ma per la mia università sarebbe un completo disastro. Tutti i nostri documenti di lavoro sono su Sharepoint (io tengo un backup locare di tutto quello che è mia responsabilità, ma dubito sia una pratica comune) e tutte le email su outlook.

Somehow yesterday science fiction (especially the wild promises of every age techbros) never look like today technology. And that is because nothing in those wild promises had any connection with the reality of science.

And still we (collectively, as a society) keep falling for it over and over again.

@tess Mostly is my ability to produce any working sentence in my second language that goes to zero when I am tired (a clear sign I need to close everything and go to sleep is when I start writing English using Italian phonetics).

I hate that "machine learning" has become synonymous with "generative AI". Because while generative AI is at best a fun toy and at worst a dangerous hallucinatory trip, there is so much more to machine learning than that.
