Should a website for anglers be classified as a phishing site?

I'm tired of web sites inflicting known-bad rules on passwords. Like what characters are required, or minimum length.

TL;DR: don't require specific classes of characters, require at least 15 characters.

I'd go for a minimum length of at least 16, myself. Brute force guessing is a thing and is dealt with by using longer passwords.

Any web site that doesn't follow these is just security incompetent.

I'm working on some code that spawns processes and terminates them. It reads like a mass murder story.

In WTF news, Finnish air force has now decided, in 2025, that insisting on the continued use of a swastika in its flags is embarrassing and they will eventually remove it. Some day.

They've used it since 1918, not due to influence from Nazi Germany, but still. It should've been dropped in 1945 at the latest.

I'm thinking about a book on cursed software development practices:

Only release v1.0 of any program. If there's a bug or a feature is needed, change the name and release another v1.0. For extra points, choose names that are in alphabetical order.

Only ever have a single commit in a Git repository. If you need to make a change, amend that single commit.

Same, but have one repository for all projects, each separate software on a different amended commit.

Nobody sensible would do these things.
