Sure, Amazon, I totally want to follow author P. G. Wodehouse 'cause how else will I know if he's released a new book. <eyeroll>
(For those not familiar, he died in 1975.)

Me, eyes and throat red and scratchy: I have a feeling there might be something burning somewhere.
My friend: It's called Canada.
@bethsawin and @susankayequinn: Both of you are the first two people I immediately thought of regarding the collection of ideas for small making-the-world-better projects around the world. I'm seeking more for a project of my own here: https://scholar.social/@michaelc/115152887342097409
(I've also read one book each from the two of you--both good stuff! Consider this an introduction if you don't know each other already.)
If we're playing "Guess The Gendered Role" today, I'm totally the wife and my partner is the husband.
I've been winnowing seeds from the garden; baking bread and cupcakes; making tea; prepping for dinner; doing the dishes
Meanwhile, bricks are being thrown off the roof, power tools noises are coming from the back yard; hammering sounds; trips to the hardware store.
What will tomorrow bring? Nobody knows! That's the fun of it. Maybe we'll switch. Maybe we'll shuffle. Oh, the chaos!
A while back there was talk about some questionable actions from the CEO of Proton and making people nervous. I haven't heard anything since. They good still?
Wait, so both Vintage Story and Valheim added bears and bearskin armor and bear trophies at the same time? That's kinda random.
On average, it seems each cilantro/coriander seed that germinates and makes it through its life cycle, if harvested carefully, produces about half an ounce of additional seed. I think I had about a dozen stalks and this is 173g of seed.
Him, seeing all the seeds I'm winnowing: What are you going to do, start a Coriander Cartel?
Me, thinking: I'm not opposed to that idea...
I try to set everything on my phone to metric but I live in the US. So my phone sometimes doesn't let me change to metric.
And sometimes it just out of the blue alerts me that tomorrow will be 7 degrees warmer than today, but not WHAT KIND OF DEGREES.
And then I go in and look. Neither in C nor in F does the difference in high temperature equal 7.
I'm packing up and going to live in a cave.
I just tried to log into my Unity ID and saw there was an update to the Terms of Service, with links to like 15 different "terms" documents.
Has anyone looked through the changes and summarized them? Are they screwing us over again?
I'm so tired of reading terms of service only to find more of being screwed over. I'd love to find someone's summary of how they're doing it this time. (Or, if I'm optimistic, that they're not...)
There is a widely-used phone tree / on-hold service that uses the same hold music, a series of supposedly upbeat and relaxing pseudo-tunes that cycle through clips and then eventually repeat.
I've been put on hold in so many stressful situations at so many places that just hearing the music sends my blood pressure through the roof in the same way as accidentally running into your arch enemy at the grocery store might.
