Summer thought a lively adventure would be the best way to celebrate my birthday afternoon.
Her pal wanted to go but decided it was best to stay home and keep warm on this cool foggy day.
We didn't go far or for long but had great fun.

Thinking lots today.
The weather is dreary.
I feel the relationships of people I care about starting to fray from the constant assault on their well being. Frustrations are not always hidden well.
The thing is we should remember we are stronger and more able to weather the weather together.
Being the elder I find myself in a good place to deliver the reminder.
I am not shy about bringing up the fact the Wailaki part of our family has been surviving against all odds for a really long time. Not a small achievement.
I love my family dearly.

Oh my goodness.
We stayed up so late today is almost tomorrow.
The evening was relaxing, the sunset didn't disappoint and Summer, and I watched a western with her pal to be nice.
The sunset was the best part.
Tomorrow is a family lunch to celebrate my birthday before the day, but when everyone can be here.
I will need to wake up early to get cooking.
Oh well.
Coffee will perk me right up.

This batch of Summer pictures is hard to pick from, but she was ecstatically happy to be out for an adventure and the sparkling sunlight was magical.
Today has been busy but she patiently waited until it was her turn.
