Little mushroom photographed in moss on the branch of an old oak tree. Both the moss and the mushroom are miniature and completely overlooked. You can only see them if you search purposefully with your nose almost in the moss. And then take a picture of them - if my cell phone could talk, it would probably say, "Dude, what do you want from me? I'm not a camera for hundreds of euros. I'm a smartphone camera with a macro function."
But in the end, it worked.

I took this photo because of a windstorm that uprooted a large oak tree near the edge of the forest. It fell into the meadow, was cut to pieces and so I had access to the moss covered branches. I found only a few millimetre sponges of two species on the multi-tonne oak. So tiny, so inconspicuous in an ecosystem that was created on a huge old tree.
