Haha, ok, so for the last 12 hours I was tooting toots, but for some unknown reason my GTS instance was not sharing them, and so no one could see them.@dominic if you are still looking for a relay solution I can share what I'm doing.
Briefly, I don't want the volume of full scale relay anyway, so I use relay.fedi.buzz to setup specific hashtags to get boosted into my timeline, (this part not needed: I subscribe using a second account on my GtS so it looks organic in my feed as opposed to boosts from my second account).
