I encountered this sentence here on the Fediverse: “The Jewish WWII experience seems not to have taught any humanity to its victims.”There is little I find more repugnant than the all too common idea that the Holocaust was some kind of lesson for us Jews - to teach us humanity?! Imagine, a people so evil that even after getting mass murdered, they stubbornly persist in being evil! That is the logic of such statements. It is Nazi logic. It is absolutely disgusting and thoroughly antisemitic. Yet, the people expressing these views consider themselves “progressives.”
It is shameful, and even more shameful is that more people don’t stand up against the dehumanization of Jews in progressive spaces. #Antisemitism #Holocaust
