En actualizaciones ñoñísticas/friki/geek, les cuento que estoy haciendo pruenas de interacción entre wordpress y algunas plataformas del fediverso y se ve bastante bien como funciona, al menos con las mas usadas.

@abeorch @gotosocial @elena i just need you to open https://altgr.xyz/2025/08/24/y-aqui-vamos-de-nuevo/ in your browser. Before the commenta there's a button "Comentar en el fediverse" pressit and enter your gotosocial server and check if you see the post in gotosocial. If you see it, please like it to know if interactions work fine from that platform. Thanks.

@carloshr @abeorch @gotosocial when I enter my server name I get « 404: Not Found
GoToSocial only serves Public statuses via the web.
If you reached this page by clicking on a status link, it's likely that the status is not Public. »
I have to say, I have 3 federated Wordpress sites and never had to use a button like that… basically when you follow a blog on the Fediverse and reply to it from here, the comments sync seamlessly…

So the problem with GoToSocial is that it doesn't have a client part. It's a pure server and you need a different client app to access it (e.g. Phanpy, Elk, or one of the many mobile apps).
That is why the reply link doesn't work. There's simply no API for it, even though the server itself is mostly compatible with Mastodon, this part will never work. -

@abeorch correct.
I don't think it gets mentioned very often and in reality it isn't much of a hindrance. But I also only learned about it from the docs when I was already committed to deploying it.

@elena @gotosocial @carloshr@irgndsondepp yes there are no native clients but wonderful options like masto-fe, elk.zone and Phanpy (I cycle between the three)
