https://mstdn.social/@Mediagazer/115101620841513777I've always been confused by how tentative sports leagues etc are to run their own new media. shouldn't the NFL run an OTT service by now? so by that logic, I guess it makes sense that they're not thinking about owning their own fedi servers yet.

@wjmaggos The NFL recently made a deal where it now owns 10% of ESPN! So it is operating on an entirely different level… (also says a lot about the state of mainstream media)
