I'm a bit nauseous about the spend but after this last trip when I caught a bug during a heat wave I ordered one of the new wave of 12V rooftop air conditioners and additional batteries to drive it when there's no solar power coming in.

Those first few days with fever in a hot van were truly miserable. I pray to Dog that I can avoid that situation in the future.

#vanLife #vanBuildNone of this is sponsored or affiliated. It's all on order so I have no experience with it so this isn't a recommendation; just a list of what I chose.
AC: CountrymodPro https://countrymodpro.com/products/12v-10000-btu-rv-air-conditioner-top-mounted-fast-cooling-system-for-rvs-trucks-vans-campers?variant=50549355151669
Battery: LiTime 12V 230Ah Plus https://www.litime.com/products/12v-230ah-plus-lifepo4-battery
Depending on how the AC pulls power and how it interacts with solar charging, I may end up putting in another identical battery and/or add another PV panel to my two 250W roof panels and a 200W suitcase panel.
