I laugh every time I see a human shaped mechatronic body carefully walk like it is trying not to poop itself. I understand some reasons why their gaits are shaped like that and yes, they're walking which is a hard won success no matter the gait.
That said, it feels like we're making fundamental errors in approaches that end up that way. We're leaving out something important that could lead to organic-ish, human style walking and running.
