I'm enjoying the process of loading photos from el GOOG into a locally hosted Immich node. Import is pretty smooth, though I'm doing it in a slow manner by downloading a few months at a time from Photos and then dragging and dropping images onto Immich. Lots of time for woolgathering.
The main feature I miss is basic photo editing like rotation and cropping. I haven't really looked into the best way to do that but AFAIKT it isn't offered via the web UI.
