ok slightly more plausible dumb future: microsoft/openai puts a prompt in charge on accident. ceo credentials get leaked into a training set via "recall", some joker tells chat gpt or whatever to pretend its a high powered ceo with a roko's basilisk complex and it just kinda spins out of control from there. by the time they figure out what is going on the damage is done and the company is sold for scrap. valve buys them and finally we get what gamers really want: windows 7 service pack 2
