Rom-com flick. But at the 40 minute mark the protagonists understand they love each other, and will always do so. And immediately realize the imminent enemy of their happiness is capitalism and billionaires. Then set out to seize the means of production and eat the rich.

I was gonna make a follow-up. It started with: "Copaganda film. But at the 30 minute mark the protagonist cop realizes he's just a tool of the ruling class..."
And seriously, are there no films like this?
NOT a film where the cop realizes there's other bad cops, fights them, but continues being a cop at the end of the movie.
I mean a film where the cop protagonist COMPLETELY STOPS being a cop. I can't recall one off the top of my memory right now...

I can't forecast a happy ending for such a film.

@GustavinoBevilacqua @afreytes youβd have to dress it up in some metaphors. Maybe make it a star war.

PS:
Robocop: Yes, the message of the movie is indeed anti-corporate and anti-police-ish... But I'm not sure he STOPS being a cop.
Blade Runner: Is Deckard an actual cop to begin with?
Serpico (Spoilers?): Doesn't he die a cop? I guess that counts as stopping being a cop but ouch.
Chappie: this might actually be one of the best answers?
Star Wars: It's a stretch. Maybe. But Star Wars can be almost anything we want at this point.

@afreytes Serpico retired 2 years after the Knapp Commission. The movie ends with him heading to testify I think.
He did get ambushed and shot in the face but he survived that shit.
So I think that one might be about as close as you get. Dude didn't even stay in the USA, but that's not in the movie either.

No one mentioned Mad Max. This makes me heart ache.
Though he didn't exactly realize he was a tool of the ruling class. One could say his madness comes from having no masters even.
