@Mastodon What were the arguments for "quoting text above quoted post" over "quoting text below quoted post"? This is going to create a "dunk culture" on Mastodon with no upside beyond "works how it does on [toxic platforms that Mastodon positions itself as a better alternative to]".
What is your plan for dealing with the cultural problems this will create? "You can disable quotes, but it won't retroactively remove your post from a harasser's timeline" is bolting the door too late. -
