Does it bother anyone else that a “leap second” adds a second but a “leap year” adds a day?

@calcifer if it's any consolation, the extra day inserted in a leap year is called a leap day. On the plus side, you can call it a bissextile year and avoid the confusion, at the price of nobody understanding what you mean.

That's what the year is literally called in some other languages, based on the Latin word bissextus. So "nobody" is an overstatement.
