hey fedi #metal hive mind, I hope everyone is having a good sunday morning! I am looking for instrumental #postMetal recommendations; lately I've been really enjoying sludgey and/or blackgazey sounds -- like obvious but entirely satisfying reference points would be Neurosis, Deafheaven, Sumac, etc. I guess Sunn O)))) is relevant here too. I’m willing to admit my tastes in the metallic are those of an aging punk art-rock music nerd weenie; I use semicolons in casual posts and am not into metal the way an actual metalhead is

So but bless all their screamy little throats, I guess my mood right now is any kind of vocal just like takes me out of the zone I'm trying to be in whilst rocking to these sounds. Like I just want crushingly loud guitars getting bent into avant-ish emotional shapes without feeling like I'm getting yelled at. I know about Pelican and Russian Circles, just wondering what else there is out there.
