Can a person develop a peanut allergy after they are old? Asking for that famous friend.
PS: I realize this is my brain catastrophizing... BUT!
With the USA's fascist administration turning a blind eye towards food and drug safety... Would it be possible that many more people that hitherto were unaffected by food allergies find themselves to "become" allergic?
Like, could people that were always allergic to stuff but never found out because regulations protected them be at risk now?

@afreytes I think it's normal for immune responses to change over the course of one's life. Additionally, I am aware of a number of patient self-reports and one ambiguous¹ peer reviewed study suggesting that "long COVID" can result in new allergies.
¹ showing correlation but not causation
