iPhone 17 range:

Basic model has a 6.3" display with ProMotion at < 120Hz. 3000 nits brightness (good in daylight). Anti-glare screen and anti-scratch. A19 processor: 16 npus, 6 cpu cores, 5 gpu cores.

Longer battery life, fast charge over USB-C.

Cameras:

48MP main camera, 12MP 2x telephoto camera, "image fusion" using both cameras.

iPhone 17 selfie camera gets centre stage, stabilization, and wide angle imaging, with sensor that can take landscape snaps while holding in portrait. Up to 18MP images (usually less).

Introducing the iPhone 17 Air: so thin you can bend it in half between your fingertips! (Oops, sorry Tim.) Made of Titanium so that's okay, though.

iPhone 17 Air is 5.6mm thick, obviously a prerequisite for Apple before they can make and sell a folding phone that isn't a brick (rumoured next year). 3000nit display, all the feature neep of the iPhone 17, AND ALSO: all the guts live in the rear island (with the fat camera bump).

A19Pro CPU is faster than A19; more cache in efficiency cores. GPUs have improved caching and has neural accelerators in each core (translation: matrix vector processors, nothing revolutionary).

iPhone Air 17 gets wifi 7, bluetooth 6, and threads (home automation networking) via a new Apple Design modem, the C1X. Uses less energy. Camera has optical image stabilization and 4K video. 24MP photos by default. Front camera sounds just like the iPhone 17. Has dual capture video—front and rear simultaneously, for recording your reaction at games/gigs (yawn).

It's eSIM only.

Has adaptive power mode to conserve battery life. Accessories include a magsafe battery (heh!).

The iPhone 17 Air isn't terrible, it's just thin, bland, and outrageously expensive.

Pro 17 models are now unibody Al machined devices with larger batteries: Pro Max has up to 39 hours of video playback,.

Cameras: same front cam as other iPhones 17s. Rear
sensors are all 48MP fusion cameras inc. 8x zoom at 200mm with OIS. 4x camera at 100mm for portraiture and nature photography. Digital zoom up to 40x.

iPhone 17 Pro video has 4K120 recording. RAW capture for video. New cases and a cross-body strap.

Screens are 6.9" and 6.3" diagonal.

iPhone 17 range starts with 256Gb of storage. iPhone Air is ... NOT terribly expensive: it's cheaper than the Pro! They also do a 2Tb iPhone 17 Pro Max (you will need to trade in a kidney). Available Sept 19th.
