@announcements why does the BSD cafe run a git forge that isn't BSD licensed? Gitea is right there...

@feld @announcements while the MIT license in Gitea could be more aligned with the BSD mindset, the federation support and the fact that Codeberg people are doing a great job was a good reason to deploy it

@stefano @announcements I think the federation support is a dead end tbqh, and the Codeberg people are doing a terrible job IMHO as I've encountered many bugs that were fixed in upstream Gitea for a long time but they never merged.

@feld @announcements interesting. maybe I should go deeper with this and try to better understand the entire situation. Thank you for the head up!
