@wjmaggos @mpjgregoire People who knowingly vote 3rd party in a critical election are the lowest. Looks to me like they want Trump but don't have the guts to admit it.

@SCampbell
I'm going to defend @wjmaggos and Prof. Loury. They both live in states that were almost certainly going to go for VP Harris. Why shouldn't they vote with their consciences if they believed neither main candidate was fit to serve? -

The idea that my vote ever imperiled Harris's ability to win California, or that objecting to kneejerk defense of flagrantly unconstitutional actions of law enforcement puts me on the same side as Trump, is not only ridiculous but also wildly undemocratic; what formal mechanism of voicing, much less change, is available to a citizen if even a pointed protest vote in the safest Democratic state in the entire country isn't allowable?
And my vote wasn't counted anyways, thanks to arriving ridiculously too late, arguably due to Biden's refusal to undo Trump's damage and leadership change of the USPS! Which also naturally does nothing to convince me I should have voted for him or his VP. -

And I have noticed that every 3rd party voter has something negative to say about Biden/Harris & not a thing about Trump. Telling..,

Stella C 🇨🇦 M. Grégoire william.maggos One thing I've noticed about the Blue No Matter Who folks are y'all love to fire off sweeping generalizations and conclusions even in the face of directly contradictory evidence. Like, literally my most recent post on the Fediverse before the one you're reply to is me saying bad things about Trump!
These sexist gripes show how Trump is pure id of the petite-bourgoisie . . . the small business owners who think they should rule the world but find their slices of pie decreasing as capitalism inexorably centralizes are forever incensed, blaming and demeaning all the people that rightwing propaganda tells the rubes to hate (women, racial minorities, queers, the disabled, unions…)

@SCampbell @keithzg @mpjgregoire
so you have universal health care. sorry that I'm not happy with a Dem party that won't even fight for that (although as I said I'm for compromising when it will affect the outcome).
also down here Mamdani won the primary and elected Dems still won't endorse him against some seriously shitty alternatives. please talk to them instead.
