@aeva that's so mysterious
-
@mcc could a depressed person make this
-
@aeva probably tbh
-
@mcc i had this cool idea this morning where I could have like a character there holding a candle with her eyes closed and have the relative position be different depending on the phase of the moon and when its a new moon there's no candle and she has her eyes open, but I'm probably not going to bother with anything like that because gnome decided there will only be the sadness diamond as punishment for writing a game in python

I hate wayland so much, and also gnome. fuck you anti fun police
EDIT: please do not tell me about .desktop files I will make fun of you for going to bat for bad solutions to indefensible problems
I'm reliably informed that Wayland has a new protocol for the program icons thing, and it'll probably start working eventually if I don't do anything

one of these days I'm going to successfully "simply switch to KDE" and then I'll get to be one of those cool KDE people who has a computer that can do basic trivial tasks like "draw an icon"

long ago I played in a tabletop RPG where my character was a dwarf in a setting where dwarves have an arbitrarily long life expectancy and her name was Granite, and Granite's life philosophy towards humans and the shitty problems they create was "(literally) kill them with patience" and anyways it's always a rare treat when I can actually solve real life problems by simply neglecting them.
