cross-platform #gamedev people: I have working builds of my game for windows, linux, and mac, but ofc the mac one is unsigned and you have to do all the admin allow override dance to get it to run.

I take it you really just have to give apple their yearly blood money to make the app just runnable? is this true even if you publish it for mac through steam?
