Since I didn't like Hollow Knight but I'm being bombarded with FOMO over Silksong, I instead downloaded Ender Magnolia, which is both challenging and delightful.

So far the platforming and movement are satisfying, the bosses are sufficiently hard, and the environments are beautiful (as expected).
Also, like Silksong, the customization system is a bit more sophisticated than the first game, and the story, while separate, clearly calls back to the original Ender Lilies.

The ideal difficulty balance for a "hard" game for me is:
- Some mini bosses can be downloaded and fought immediately, in 1-2 tries.
- Most bosses take 3-5 attempts.
- A handful of hard bosses take 8-15 tries.
- One or two I have to grind on for much longer.Magnolia has a difficulty slider, and right now the default feels *okay*, but I might tick it up slightly depending on how things continue to go.

Oh! And I want to see if you can beat a boss entirely by perfect blocking; the game gives you several different options for parry-type builds (much better than the original in that respect).
