Why Youtube - or anyone really - thinks everyone not in an English speaking country, or with their computer settings set to not English or whatever, might prefer an awful automated horribly sounding "dub" that is not English is fucking beyond me.

There are people whose native language is not English, but they can still speak and understand it anyway! It's fucking insulting.
I can switch off autoplay with one click, but for this stupid autodubbing I have to do at least 3 clicks. WTF!?
(Watching something on Youtube because Freetube is not working for me atm. So no need to tell be about alternatives, I know them already.)
Edit: That goes in all directions. Set your system to English and you get non-English videos dubbed in English. -

Which is stupid in its own right. Because that way I can't see what language that video is in originally. Except when there are words on the thumbnail, or I know the channel.
Basically, Youtube, or whoever decides which videos this is done to, decides for me, unasked, that I am not capable to understand words. They probably think they are helping the world with that. ROFLMAO! (Yes, I actually used that right here, because this is the state my head is in right now.) When in fact they just want me to stay even farther away from them than before.
I would really like to know who actually loves that feature.
Edit: And by "love" I mean actually uses it in earnest and thinks it's the greatest thing since Wifi. -

For historical reasons all my devices are set to English. I've been watching this local guy for years. One fine day, his videos started defaulting to English titles and English dubs. Sad thing is he probably likes it, monolingual English speakers falling into this trap and maybe watching to the end I mean.
Subtitles were good enough for my parents and for me, dammit! (Not that they were competently implemented by YouTube anyway...)

They are training people to give up thinking, so they can have more docile slaves.

Well, that's the entire modus operandi of consumer capitalism. "Don't engage your brain unless I tell you to do so."
