Maybe if we hadn't been such absolute dickheads, you could still use words and NOT have them be correlated with racism, classism or sexism....

@eldritch48 As a straight white REFORMED conservative/moderate male in his late 50s, let me say that it can be tough to change things that have been automatic for your whole life, after 50+ years. I still often refer to my local grocery store by the name of one we haven't lived near for ten years now lol!
But *trying* to improve yourself never ends, if you're motivated to do it in the first place. It's hard though, and most aren't willing to even try... Good luck!

@croyle Oh yeah, for sure! That's why I think reframing it has value. I don't necessarily think mis-labeling, or mis-speaking is "proof" that someone is problematic, but if you're trying to be better, it helps to change the way you look at things.
