What I found most disturbing was the hopelessness they felt in their own country. And the culture shock of experiencing a country where children are allowed to learn everything at school without police protection and censorship. The torn families (some leave Maga relatives behind). I think we can't imagine it all.

Not only wealthy US citizens, but also middle-class families, single mothers and academics are increasingly settling in Spain. This story of the US mother who has to teach her 17-yrs old daughter to take the public bus *alone* to school, her surprise that the school was not fenced, not controlled by police with arms.
Her surprise, when the director said: We don't have it because we don't need it. We just have no regular mass killings in our schools.I was teached to walk alone to school when I was 6 years old.
