@damon I'm fine with ads in clients but generally, what makes the #SocialWeb special/revolutionary is that it allows the public to determine what gets attention. it can change the world. ads run counter to this.we need better financial support for developers, service providers and content creators here. getting this to happen w/o ruining what we have will require a fiat transfer protocol, otherwise the money people become a control point. everybody needs to help make #WebMonetization happen.
