@Mastodon What were the arguments for "quoting text above quoted post" over "quoting text below quoted post"? This is going to create a "dunk culture" on Mastodon with no upside beyond "works how it does on [toxic platforms that Mastodon positions itself as a better alternative to]".
What is your plan for dealing with the cultural problems this will create? "You can disable quotes, but it won't retroactively remove your post from a harasser's timeline" is bolting the door too late.

A lot of people who are on TV are uniting in fear and anger because one of their own, a guy who was on TV, got shot. We have been filling the streets to get these people to acknowledge the basic humanity and rights of people who are not on TV. To them, being on TV makes your life worth more. They want you to accept this premise. You must not.
