Corporations cannot care about you.

For the same reason that LLMs and seaslugs can't care about you. "Care" is not part of their anatomy.

This doesn't mean they are inherently bad things. But they are NOT human. Stop anthropomorphizing them.

PEOPLE who work at corporations are a different matter. But the organization is a MACHINE, not a person. And it's not actually a machine designed to reflect what its employees or even shareholders CARE about.

It's exclusively about their money. That's the only thing the machine is designed to react to.

Draw your plans accordingly.

In #Pixelfed and #Misskey, I can search for a #Mastodon handle, and find a profile.

But if I try to do the same in #PeerTube , I get nothing. Seems like it only ever finds PeerTube accounts.

Is this expected?

I'm not sure exactly what I should see, since obviously a Mastodon account is not a PeerTube account, so it doesn't produce the same things. But then, you can publish video on Mastodon, so maybe?

I still miss the #SierraOnline #GameServer from the 90s.

I used to think about implementing additional games, particularly domino games ("Moon" and "42").

I didn't want to make machine player agents, so I was really thinking of servers for online play.

I know there are MMORPG games and Minecraft, but I'm thinking of simpler, more social games. Presumably this would be in-browser.

And it seems like this could exist on the #Fediverse

Is that a thing already? And if not, what do you think about the difficulty of implementing something in that class? Presumably, you'd want a plugin API system so you could add games to the server instance.
