a blog post that discusses the sense of urgency I felt to learn #Docker (because it will become mandatory for #Ghost)... and how a recent discovery has pushed back my deadline. I can learn slowly, yay!β: https://news.elenarossini.com/my-so-called-sudo-life/my-adventures-in-self-hosting-day-259-slow-down-edition/

#MySoCalledSudoLife #CLI@elena My rule of thumb is to skip .0 releases, so selfh.st will be riding v5 with you until at the very least v6.1.0 is released!

@shollyethan excellent advice Ethan! That's typically my way to go with any software, too

I see you already have a well-configured and attractive Ghost site. The Docker version of Ghost is easy to install. Follow the instructions here to the letter: https://docs.ghost.org/install/docker . It's important that the server on which you install Docker and Ghost is clean and has no other packages installed, such as MySQL or a web server. A (sub)domain must then point to the server. The installer expects a freshly host, and anything you do differently may cause conflicts or configuration errors. -
